How much does a fence cost per linear foot?
It depends heavily on material: chain link typically runs the least per foot, wood privacy fencing is mid-range, and vinyl privacy fencing usually costs the most per foot but requires less long-term maintenance. Labor typically adds 30-50% on top of materials cost.
How many fence posts do I need?
Divide your total fence length by your post spacing (commonly 8 feet for wood and vinyl, up to 10 feet for chain link) and add one, then add extra posts for each gate opening.
How much concrete do I need per post?
Most residential fence posts use one 50 lb quick-set concrete bag per post, though larger posts, taller fences, or loose soil may need two bags per post.
